Carin Fortin is a native of Switzerland and a transplant from New York/Brooklyn. She is a certified Permaculturist, student of Biodynamics, BDANC newsletter editor and core group member. She makes tinctures and tonics inspired by her family’s tradition and using home grown herbs. She co-founded Blossom’s Farm in Bonny Doon, where she lives with her partner Delmar McComb – together they organize and host the Santa Cruz Mountains Biodynamic Intensive. They love experimenting with a variety of crops of which they create value added produce including different types of pestos, kefirs, sauerkrauts, sodas, dehydrated and fermented foods, herbal teas, salves and elixirs.
